Our Story
20 years ago, plant oils and fats were hardly available in small quantities. If you wanted to develop your own cosmetics, you were forced to purchase large quantities, which you could not fully use.
Pharmacist Dr. Dominik Schantl turned necessity into virtue and took the step of starting his own company in 2003. In early 2005, his brother Josef Schantl, BBA, BSc., joined the family business and has since been responsible for the management and operations of Natural Products & Drugs GmbH.
Since then, we have been supplying customers, both in the B2B and B2C sectors, nationally and internationally. What started small, in a tiny laboratory, has developed over the years into a successful Austrian family business.

Through efficient and well-thought-out supply chain management, we guarantee not only short delivery times but also complete transparency along the entire supply chain. This enables us to ensure seamless traceability of our goods and always provide you with the utmost levels of trust and safety.

We offer natural and valuable products that are not only beneficial for your health but also advantageous for the environment. Investments in infrastructure and projects to protect the environment and preserve our planet are only sustainable if the “software” - the mindset of people is shaped accordingly. We acknowledge our responsibility by systematically integrating the topic of environmental management into all processes and operations of our company. With our environmental management system (DIN EN ISO 14001:2015), we monitor, measure, and reduce environmental impacts and thus make a significant contribution to environmental protection as a company. The Austrian Post, as our most important transport partner, compensated all CO2 emissions incurred during delivery for us in the year 2025. View certificate.

Quality Management
In our in-house laboratory, we carry out quality controls to ensure the highest quality and safety for our customers. With us, customers receive free certificates of analysis, specifications and safety data sheets (where available) even for small quantities of most raw materials (e.g. fatty oils).
We also place great importance on quality, safety and compliance with the applicable legal requirements when it comes to our packaging. As part of our quality management, we take into account the requirements of EU Regulation 2025/40 on packaging and packaging waste (PPWR) as well as relevant requirements concerning material composition, recyclability and substance restrictions.
The conformity assessment of the packaging we use is carried out on the basis of our technical documentation as well as the corresponding conformity and supplier documentation.
